Just Bento may just be our new favorite website. By posting great recipes and cute
bentos (that Jully makes for ShopKid), the site really promotes a healthy balanced
lifestyle, something that's been on our minds this week. We get asked all the time
what the bentos in our shop are for and thought that this post from Just Bento of
their recent tour of the Hakoya bento makers in Ishikawa, Japan would be interesting
to some folks. The handmade laquer boxes undergoes various hours of treatment and
layering and all the designs are hand silk screened by master craftsmen and women.
Because they are done so seamlessly these beautiful boxes are often mistaken for
plastic. Japanese quality, man.
Also, check out Just Bento's sister site Just Hungry for some other great recipes.
