Workshops

All our workshops are designed to offer you high-quality instruction and information in a relaxed and friendly setting. Ideas can be discussed and projects undertaken gradually at the pace of the student. Small group sizes and an informal atmosphere mean that you can learn from practice, observation, and discussion with other students. Workshops are held in our shop’s studio space, unless otherwise specified. Check back often for event dates and schedules. Please join us on Thursday, November 11th for a workshop with Tish Brewer, (who also
taught the super fun Paper Sculpture and super popular Paper Marbling Workshop) for
a Jacob's Ladder workshop! Jacob's ladders are the most ancient and famous folk toy,
and we'll be making this toy into a book! When the book is held at one end, the boards
appear to cascade down the ribbons, a fascinating optical illusion. Come learn how to
engineer this clever contraption, which makes a great gift for the upcoming holiday season.
Plenty of colorful materials will be provided, or bring your own ribbon, drawings, postcards,
photos, and other ephemera to really personalize it!

DATE: Thursday, November 11th, starts at 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Workshop Costs: $50 (includes all supplies & materials - but please feel free
to bring your own postcards, photos, personal ephemera to personalize your book!)
