Heather Sundquist Hall

Heather Sundquist Hall, a Texas-based artist originally from Long Island, New York, creates nostalgic, narrative-driven artwork inspired by personal memories and the quiet beauty of everyday details. After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, she eventually moved to Texas, where the vast landscapes and unique culture further shaped her artistic perspective. Now residing in Smithville, Hall works primarily with gouache, a medium introduced to her by her husband, which allows her to capture intricate details and soft, atmospheric tones.

Her paintings often depict familiar Americana scenes—subtle homages to overlooked or forgotten elements like a plaid couch from her grandmother’s house or the fading light at sunset. These small details, filled with personal significance, invite viewers to pause and reflect, fostering a sense of shared memory. Hall's work has been showcased in galleries across the U.S., including Webb Gallery in Texas and Hey There Projects in California. Her illustrations have also been featured in various publications, such as Breathe Magazine and Spirituality & Health.
