A self-taught artist, Yu published her first picture book in 2022, capturing street scenes of her childhood in Shanghai. In 2023, she began illustrating Hong Kong, focusing on subjects like dim sum restaurants, the Star Ferry, and traditional neighborhoods. Her work has a distinct Asian charm, blending personal memory with the cultural vibrancy of these cities.
