Framing is the finishing touch—the part that turns a print you love into something that feels settled, intentional, and ready to live on the wall. We don’t sell frames directly through our webshop, but we do offer framing through the shop, and we can ship frames if you reach out.

Our In-Store Frame Style
Our signature in-store frames are made for us by a local framer we’ve worked with for over 10 years. The style is clean and modern with a simple profile—substantial enough to feel gallery-ready, but quiet enough to let the artwork lead. It’s a versatile look that works beautifully with art prints, risographs, photography, illustration, and posters, whether you’re framing one special piece or building a full gallery wall.

Not sure which finish to choose?
Black feels classic and graphic, white is bright and minimal, and the natural tones add warmth—especially in wood-heavy rooms or softer color palettes.
Process
1) Reach out
Email hello@weare1976 or call 214.821.1976 (during store hours). Share the size of your artwork (or send a photo of the label/packing slip) and let us know whether it was purchased from We Are 1976 or is an outside piece.
If your print was purchased from our website, tell us which web order the framing is associated with.
2) Confirm options + get a quote
We’ll confirm the exact size and recommend the best approach—our in-stock molding finishes, optional matting, or special-order molding if you want a different look.

Matting is available for an additional charge, and we’ll quote it once sizing is confirmed.

Pricing is based on the number of pieces purchased from our store.

Outside work framing (anything not purchased from We Are 1976) is subject to a surcharge. This surcharge applies to the entire framing job (not just matting).
3) We send a custom order
Once everything is confirmed, we’ll send you a custom order to complete.
4) Turnaround + pickup/shipping

If the frame is already in stock, turnaround is typically same day.

Custom framing is usually 1–2 weeks.

Special-order molding turnaround can vary depending on how long it takes for the molding to arrive.

Matting
Not sure if you need a mat? Matting is especially helpful for in-between sizes, deckled edges, or when you want more breathing room around the artwork for a cleaner, more “gallery” look. Matting is available for an additional charge, and we’ll quote it once the exact size is confirmed.
Custom Orders
Want a different frame profile or finish? We can source other moldings beyond our in-store style. These are handled as custom orders, so cost and turnaround may differ depending on the molding selected and how quickly it can be brought in.
Outside Work Framing
We’re happy to frame artwork purchased elsewhere. Outside work framing is subject to a surcharge, and we’ll quote based on the size, options, and the number of pieces in your framing order.
