Collection: Logan Schmitt

Logan Schmitt, an illustrator from Wheeling, West Virginia, draws deep inspiration from nature and the forested landscapes surrounding his hometown. Known for his distinctive style, Schmitt uses bold lines and flat colors to capture wildlife and natural elements in an otherworldly light, often blending Art Nouveau influences with the aesthetics of Japanese woodblock prints and comic art. His work celebrates everyday wildlife—like opossums, toads, and fish—rendering these often-overlooked animals with an elegance and reverence that feels both naturalistic and fantastical.

Schmitt’s artistic journey began with a love for drawing, but it wasn’t until he left restaurant work and attended Columbus College of Art & Design that he pursued illustration full-time. His illustrations have gained popularity not only for their beauty but for their unique ability to evoke a narrative quality, as if each animal or scene tells a story from deep within the forest. Schmitt’s designs have been commissioned by bands such as The Avett Brothers and Chris Stapleton and have appeared in gallery exhibitions across the U.S., including the Society of Illustrators in New York.
