Shipping & delivery

When will my order ship? We process and ship orders within 1–3 business days. You'll get an automatic tracking email from Shopify once your order is on its way.

How much does shipping cost? Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order's size, weight, and the service you choose (USPS, UPS, etc.). We offer free standard shipping on orders over $100 — just select the standard rate at checkout to apply it. Expedited shipping is still available on those orders, but it isn't included in the free shipping offer.

Do you ship internationally? Yes, we ship worldwide. International rates are calculated at checkout. Customs, duties, and import taxes are the customer's responsibility and aren't included in the shipping cost.

Will my order arrive in time for the holiday? Order by the cutoff date we post each season for standard shipping. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for last-minute orders. We can't guarantee delivery dates once orders are with the carrier, but we'll do our best. Holiday cutoffs are posted on our Instagram and homepage banner.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it? If your order hasn't shipped yet, email hello@weare1976.com as soon as possible and we'll do our best to help. Once it's shipped, we can't make changes — but you can return it once it arrives.

My order hasn't arrived. What do I do? First, check your tracking email — most delays are carrier-side. If your package shows delivered but you didn't receive it, give it 1–2 business days (carriers sometimes mark "delivered" early). After that, email hello@weare1976.com and we'll help track it down.

Can you ship something I bought in-store? Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Let us know at checkout or call ahead, and we'll work out shipping for you.

Returns

What's your return policy? We accept returns within 30 days of purchase with receipt. Returns are issued as store credit unless the item arrived damaged or was a webshop sale item that's now out of stock — in those cases we'll issue a refund.

Are there items that can't be returned? Yes — artwork and books are final sale. Artwork because our artists are paid at the time of sale, and books because they can be read and returned in resaleable condition.

Who pays for return shipping? If the return is because the item arrived damaged or we shipped the wrong item, we cover the return shipping. For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping.

In-store & local pickup

What are your shop hours? Sunday–Thursday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. · Friday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. · Saturday, 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Holiday hours may vary — check our Instagram for current updates.

Can I check if something is in stock before driving in? Yes — give us a call. We do our best to keep online and in-store stock in sync, but it's not always exact. A quick call saves the trip.

Can you hold an item for me? Yes, for 24 hours. Many of our products are limited-quantity, so we can't hold longer than that.

Do you offer in-store pickup for online orders? Yes, during normal business hours. Select "Pickup" at checkout.

Custom framing

Do you offer framing? Yes — both standard-size frames and fully custom work. Standard sizes are available same-day if in stock, and we can ship them out too.

How long does custom framing take? Custom frames take 10–14 days on average. Pricing varies based on size and molding choice.

Can you frame something I bought elsewhere? Yes. You can use one of our standard frames in-store for a service charge, or commission a fully custom frame.

Gifts

Do you offer gift wrapping? Yes. At checkout, add "gift wrap" in the Order special instructions box (just above Estimated total) and we'll handle it.

Can I include a personal note with the order? Yes. Add your message in the Order special instructionsbox at checkout (just above Estimated total) and we'll include it with the package.

Do you sell gift cards? Yes. We can send a digital gift card via Apple Pay Wallet, or mail a physical one. Note your preference in the Order special instructions box at checkout.

Do you offer gift receipts? Not yet — we're working on it. For now, the receipt is sent to the purchaser.

Artists & wholesale

How can I be carried at We Are 1976? Send your line sheet, portfolio, or Instagram to hello@weare1976.com. Our buyers review submissions during our current buying cycle and reach out if there's a fit. We currently carry only finished work — no print-on-demand or images-to-print.

Do you do wholesale or consignment? We work with artists and makers case-by-case on both wholesale and consignment — every relationship is different. Reach out to hello@weare1976.com to start a conversation.
