Collection: Jill Kittock

Jill Kittock is a Minneapolis-based illustrator and painter whose work invites you into quiet, richly imagined worlds—each one a love letter to solitude, symbolism, and small joys.

Jill’s journey as an artist began, fittingly, in the corners of sketchbooks—filling page after page with characters tucked into cozy rooms, reading by lamplight, or lost in their own inner monologue. Over time, those sketches evolved into her signature style: highly detailed scenes painted in acrylic gouache and accented with fine pen and ink, each one filled with layered textures, hidden meanings, and a kind of everyday magic.

Her work explores what it means to be alone but not lonely, to find richness in the ordinary, and to linger in the quiet parts of the day—snacks on a nightstand, books stacked on the floor, the hum of a space that feels like your own. She paints people in lush, imagined spaces that often blur the line between the symbolic and the familiar, encouraging the viewer to look closer—and then look again.

When she’s not at her desk working on new illustrations, Jill shares her creative process through a popular monthly newsletter, teaches workshops for aspiring artists, and delights in connecting with art lovers who find themselves drawn to the slower, softer moments her work celebrates.
