Tim Doyle, a Texas-based artist and printmaker, is known for his distinctive screen-printed posters and satirical artwork that captures a surreal twist on popular culture. Born in Claymont, Delaware and raised in Plano, Texas, Doyle eventually moved to Austin in 1999, where he found a creative home. His early work included self-publishing a zine called Amazing Adult Fantasy and running a small chain of comic book stores. This foundation helped him establish connections within the comic and art communities, setting the stage for his future success​.

Doyle’s career took a significant turn when he served as the first art director and lead designer for MONDO, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s celebrated poster line, from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, he launched Nakatomi Inc., a print shop and art collective that has become a hub for artists who share Doyle’s love for screen printing and pop culture. Nakatomi’s work spans posters, art prints, and commercial projects, with clients like Marvel, Cartoon Network, and “Weird Al” Yankovic. Doyle’s portfolio also includes poster series for bands like Metallica and artwork for major pop culture icons​.

Doyle continues to live and work in Austin, where he balances his art with family life and remains actively involved in the local art scene. His commitment to high-quality, affordable art ensures his pieces resonate with fans of pop culture and fine art alike.
