Shamsy Roomiani

Shamsy Roomiani works out of Texas, electroforming copper directly onto raw and cut stones so the metal grows around the material rather than clamping it. The result is jewelry that looks excavated — molten copper edges, unpolished surfaces, stones left with their inclusions and irregularities intact. Agate, labradorite, fluorite, jasper, aura quartz, and her own Shamstone crystals turn up in rings, pendants, and bolo ties, and no two pieces are the same.

Alongside the jewelry she builds botanical installations and teaches immersive art workshops across Dallas. We carry her work on consignment at our shop in the Bishop Arts District — each piece arrives one at a time, so what you see here is what exists.
