The sequel to Sanzo Wada's cult color reference goes deeper into the archive. Volume 2 reprints two more of his studies from 1935–36 and 1938: 72 combinations of three to seven colors built around the twelve months of the Japanese year, and 165 palettes taken from the fashion, interiors and graphic design of 1910s–1930s Japan.
Color names appear in both Japanese and English, and the book comes with 172 removable color chips — handy for holding up against fabric, paper or a wall. A natural companion to Volume 1, and just as at home in a studio as on a coffee table.
