Beans Linocut Print | Jack Russell (TX)

A pantry staple, carved like a monument. Jack Russell gives the Ranch Style Beans can the full portrait treatment — “Husband Pleasin’,” “Real Western Flavor,” and those bold red and yellow bands — cut by hand into linoleum and printed one sheet at a time. The brand was born in Fort Worth, Jack’s home base, which makes this one practically a family photo.

It reads like a Warhol soup can by way of a Texas chili supper: funny, loving and a little bit reverent. Hang it in the kitchen and let guests argue about whether beans belong in chili.
