Fomato is a unique card line by Emmie Hsu, blending watercolor art with Taiwanese and Japanese stationery influences. Raised in Kansas and spending summers in Taiwan, Emmie brings a distinctive cultural perspective to each letterpress card, which is based on her original hand-painted artwork using Chinese paintbrushes and calligraphy ink on premium raw rice paper. These designs are then made into letterpress plates and individually pressed on soft cotton paper using a vintage flatbed cylinder press.
