Southern Sky Letterpress Print | Archie's Press (NY)

A star chart of the southern sky, printed in white on black paper, with the constellations joined dot to dot inside a single circle. Crux, Centaurus, Carina, Vela, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Orion, Canis Major, Eridanus and Pavo are among those labeled, and the months (September, December, March, June) run around the edge to show when each part of the sky is overhead.

It brings a piece of the night sky indoors, and it makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who grew up or travels below the equator. Archie Archambault started drawing circular maps to get un-lost, beginning with Portland; this one is for finding your way by the stars.
