Sushi bars in Japan pour your green tea into a big yunomi like this one, and the cups are traditionally covered in fish names. Most of those kanji are built on the same piece, 魚 (fish), so the cup doubles as a guide to the menu: ebi (shrimp), unagi (eel), ika (squid), maguro (tuna), sake (salmon), saba (mackerel), katsuo (bonito), tai (sea bream) and fugu (blowfish), each with its English name.
A big red shrimp and a sea bream leap out of blue waves under a 寿司 sushi shop sign. If tai is on the board, order it. In Japan it's the fish for celebrations.
