Tanuki Plush | Fumofumo-san (Japan)

Tanuki takes after the raccoon dog of Japanese folklore, the one with a reputation for mischief and good humor. Soft brown fur, a darker marking across the face and a rounded white belly give him a comfortable, settled look. As with most Fumofumo-san, the rest of his story is guesswork.

Fumofumo-san were first recorded in 2002 and have never been properly identified. They live among the spiders, and their fuzzy build and settled expressions have carried the series for two decades.
