A pale moth spreads its wings beneath a glowing white crescent moon, painted in silvery whites, cool blue-greys and soft charcoal against a textured stone-grey ground. It's a hushed, nocturnal piece, the kind of quiet picture that seems to hold still just long enough for you to notice it. Oklahoma City oil painter Trisha Thompson Adams, best known for her bones-and-blooms anatomy work, brings the same patient, specimen-like observation to this moonlit visitor.
